Recruitment for 9389 posts of PGT, TGT for graduates, age limit 40 years, salary more than 95 thousand
Assam Board of Secondary Education has announced recruitment for more than nine thousand posts of TGT and PGT. The process of online application for this has also started. Application has to be made by visiting the official website madhyamik.assam.gov.in.

- TGT: 8004 posts
- PGT: 1385 posts
- Total number of posts:
Fees :
- Unreserved: Rs 500
- SC/ST/Disabled: Rs 350
Age Limit :
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 40 years
- SC, ST category candidates will get relaxation of 5 years.
- OBC category candidates will get 3 years relaxation and PWD category candidates will get 10 years relaxation.
Educational Qualification:
- TGT: Graduation degree in relevant subject with 50% marks. B.Ed from an institution recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education.
- PGT: Must have done B.Ed with PG in related subject.
Salary :
- TGT: Rs 14,000-70,000 with grade pay Rs 8700 per month. Other allowances will also be available.
- PGT: Rs 22,000 – 97000 and grade pay Rs 11,800 per month.
Selection Process:
- Merit list will be released on the basis of written exam.
- There will be document verification.
