Job Description.

Technically knowledgeable technician Prepare quotations by analyzing bid documents, quantity takeoffs, schemes, and drafting offers, in addition to filing and following up on offers and managing the day-to-day operations of the department within the organization.
Receive inquiries (written or verbal) regarding projects.
Requests the Technical Manager to prioritize projects according to maturity level.
Fill out project data sheets and gather necessary documents for files.
Create a folder on the server and copy relevant information (drawings, BOQs, specifications, etc.).
Print out relevant documents needed for filing.
Analyze the project: mark out typical floors, typical spans, critical areas and spans, cantilevers, planted columns (if any), and comments regarding load values.
Contact contractors and consultants to gather information needed for bids.
Determine preliminary slab thicknesses and beam cross-sections.
Prepare design model.
Determine strand, duct, anchor, and area/floor ratios and calculate required prices.
Prepare design scheme.
Assist in preparing a detailed estimate for approval.
Prepare project transmission sheets to the design department to begin design accordingly.
Send quantities to the operations and accounting departments for procurement and budgeting.
Once the project is awarded, pass complete file information to the coordinating department.
